Eileen Moon is a journalist and author whose work has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers in the United States, including The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, Redbook, Ladies Home Journal, and many more.
She is a member of the Association of Journalists and Authors, New York City chapter.
She is the former managing editor of The Two River Times, a well-known community weekly in Red Bank, New Jersey, where she directed coverage of many important stories including the devastating impact of the attacks of 9/11 on the local community, which lost more than 160 people who commuted to New York City for their jobs that Tuesday morning and never returned home.
Her regional history book, "Legendary Locals of Red Bank," was published by Arcadia in 2014.
A curious and enthusiastic traveler, she has a particular interest in Ireland, where her family roots extend from Galway to Antrim, and in Italy and Greece, where she spent several significant years of her childhood.
She is a four-time recipient of the Martha's Vineyard Writing Residency at Noepe, where she began her memoir-in-progress, "A Girl Went Back to Napoli."
